Synopsis: Govinda is a simpleton from Banaras. He gets married to a foreign returned Ramya. He is the family and faithful type. She is the devilmay-care, happy-go-lucky type. He represents the Indian values. She would not mind taking a dive in the village pond in a bikni. She wants to live abroad. He awants to stay with his mother in his village. She walks out on him. Mother wants the daughter-in-law back. He decides to get the bride back but after teaching her lesson. He goes to Singapore and other foreign locales to hunt for the runaway bride. They keep meeting off and on. He also succeeds in making her pregnant and preventing the doctor from aborting the child. She delivers a baby-boy. In the meanwhile, he becomes rich and famous. He now walks away with the 15-days-old kid and comes back to his village and threatens to marry again. The stage is set for his re-marriage. She appears on the scene. She wants the child back. Confrontation, She says she cannot live without the child. He says if she cannot live without her 15-days-old child then why did she want to separate his mother from her child. She realises her mistake and they take pheras again. This time they marry for good.

Synopsis : Bhavnao Ko Samjho movie tarts with a multi-millionaire, Himmatlal, who has lost his elder son and daughter-in-law in an accident and is survived by his grand daughter Suman and younger son Sunderlal. Sweet and young, Suman being his pet & Sunder being his worry, as he is a proper spoilt creature and a good for nothing Drunkard.

After the death of Himmatlal the whole property according to the will gets transferred to the grand daughter, Suman who was studying abroad and Sunderlal is left wanting. Thus he starts making every possible effort to get back the property on his name. He makes all the wrong promises & compromises to get back what he felt was rightfully his & thus goes to limits to attain it.

In his quest to do so he meets weird characters like the marriage guru Vivah & the money lender Daya -- who collectively become responsible in sending fake proposals for the girl. Together they hunt for a guy who would be a puppet in Sunder's hands & thus let the property become his. As both of them too have selfish interests in Sunderlal's property.

But luck favors not, as all the puppets sent by them are bounced by a cleaver trick used by none other than Suman's silent lover Shekhar. Shekhar knows the uncle's plans & thus cunningly becomes responsible for the fiasco all the time. This game makes all the characters in the film suffer & go to extents to get their job done. This war between the two groups, lead to innumerable laughter filled situations & happenings in the lives of the characters involved.

What finally happens in this unique quest for money makes film entertainingly hilarious. This story is a complete package of raw humor and meaningful comedy with an equal doze of musical romance and soft emotions.

Raman (Kader Khan) an incorrigible cheat grooms his son Prasad (Shakti Kapoor) in his trade. Master conmen they swindle everybody including Ramans widowed sister Gayatri (Anjana Mumtaz). She is sent to a mental asylum and her son Ravi is abandoned. Ravi grows up to become a local bully Ravi Dada (Jackie Shroff), who extorts money to support his foster sister Anitas (Sabeeha) studies. Ravis competition in the extortion racket Rozy (Farha), but both soon fall in love. Anitas fiancee Anil (Aditya Pancholi) meets Gayatri and brings her home and swears to bring Raman to book. Raman hires Ravi to finish him off. But when Ravi realizes his blunder he repents. Gayatri reunites with her son. Now the threesome of Ravi, Rozy and Anil gang up against the father and son duo on one hand and on the other, swoop down upon Gullu Maharaj (Gulshan Grover), who had exterminated Ravis father - a honest Customs sleuth Pratap Singh (Vijay Arora), a Rozys father DSouza (Bharat Bhushan), who had been killed while trying to save Pratap Singh. A war of wits thus ensues and culminates into an explosion of tummy-tickling laugh riot, a climax extraordinaire!

Jai Amitabh Bachchan is an expert gambler has been for as long as he can remember and has never lost a game. These skills bring him to the attention of the underworld don Saxena who is interested in hiring him to win large amounts of money from rich people and then influencing them into doing whatever he wants. Jai agrees to do so and plays successfully though unknowingly to entrap Nath who works for the government. After losing large amounts of money he is blackmailed into revealing the blueprints of a top secret military laser weapon that can hit any target within 50 miles. When the Indian police come to know of this they assign the case to Inspector Vijay also Amitabh Bachchan who is asked to apprehend Jai at any cost. The only problem is that Inspector Vijay is Jais look alike and is not at all a good gambler.

Widowed businessman Sudhirbhai lives a wealthy lifestyle with his son Vikram who is student at National College. He is very affectionate toward Vikram and will do anything for him. His business partner is Goswami who is also widowed and has two children a son Mahesh a daughter Reema who are good friends of Vikram and the two businessmen expect to cement their relationship by getting Reema married to Vikram. But when Reema meets and falls in love with Amit Verma who lives with his taxi driver dad mom Shanti and sister Munni things change dramatically as Sudhirbhai uses his underworld contacts in order to pressurize Verma to get his son to forget Reema and he does this by destroying his taxi by a bomb. Verma does manage to convince Amit to stay away from Reema but both meet again and renew their love prompting Sudhirbhai to threaten Reema that he will get Amit gravely injured
